The International Regional Scholarship – Undergraduate is a £3,000 scholarship, awarded as fee reduction for each year of study, to international students from an eligible country/region (see eligibility) who are applying to study an undergraduate course starting in 2027.

Who is eligible?
You will automatically be considered for this scholarship if you:
- are a national of, or your permanent home address is within, one of the following countries/regions:
- Canada
- Egypt
- Ghana
- Indonesia
- Kenya
- Malaysia
- Nigeria
- Pakistan
- Taiwan
- Thailand
- Turkey
- Vietnam
- are an international fee-paying applicant

How to apply
There is no separate application process for this scholarship. Eligible students will be identified automatically through their application.
The scholarship will be awarded when you meet the conditions of your offer, or when you accept your unconditional offer.
Combining scholarship awards
If you meet the criteria, the International Undergraduate Excellence Scholarship or the Undergraduate International Study Centre Progression Scholarship can be combined with the Undergraduate International Regional Scholarship, however, it cannot be combined with any other scholarships awarded by Ãå±±ÂÖ¼é.
If an applicant is eligible for both the Undergraduate International Regional Scholarship and a scholarship and/or tuition fee discount from any of our international teaching partnerships, only the award of the highest value will be made.
Payment of the scholarship
The award will be worth £3,000 and will be awarded as a tuition fee reduction, each year of study, for undergraduate courses.
Further information
- The scholarship is available across all our full-time undergraduate degree courses offered fully on campus at Ãå±±ÂÖ¼é Bailrigg campus. The scholarship will not be awarded for any period of study undertaken away from the University, including but not limited to study abroad programmes, placement years, industrial placements, or years in industry.
- You must meet or exceed the conditions of your offer to receive the scholarship. If you already have your academic results at the point you apply, you must meet the published entry requirements for your course
- You are not eligible to receive the Undergraduate International Regional Scholarship for any repeated years of study
- This scholarship cannot be deferred to a future year of entry. If you do choose to defer your offer, your application will be reassessed for any scholarships you might be eligible for in that year of entry
Ãå±±ÂÖ¼é reserves the right to withdraw this scholarship or bursary if award holders are subsequently found to be ineligible or if the terms and conditions of the scholarship are not adhered to.
