Awarded to high-achieving students who select Lancaster as their firm choice, the Home Undergraduate Excellence Scholarship rewards your academic success and your commitment to joining our diverse, supported and thriving student community.
Who is eligible?
You will be offered one of these scholarships if you:
achieve A*AA or above at A level (or the equivalent in an alternative qualification), with at least five GCSE’s grade A/7 or above
make Ãå±±ÂÖ¼é your firm UCAS choice
are a full-time Home fee paying applicant
Instead of our A level requirement, applicants to our LLB Law (Graduate Entry) course will need to have an average grade to date at a 1st or 2:1 level in your undergraduate studies (to include equivalent classifications). If you have already completed your undergraduate studies, then you will need to have already achieved a 1st or 2:1 (or equivalent) in your degree.
How to apply
There is no separate application process for the Undergraduate Excellence Scholarship. Eligible students will be identified automatically through their university application.
Combining scholarship awards
If you meet the eligibility criteria for the Lancaster Bursary you can combine it with this Undergraduate Home Excellence Scholarship
The Undergraduate Home Excellence Scholarship can also be combined with named departmental scholarships, wherever awarded.
Payment of the scholarship
The total value of the award is £3,000. The scholarship will be paid to you as £1,000 each year for three years.
Further information
The scholarship is available for full-time undergraduate degree courses delivered on campus at Ãå±±ÂÖ¼é's Bailrigg campus. The scholarship will not be awarded for any period of study undertaken away from the University, including but not limited to study abroad programmes, placement years, industrial placements, or years in industry.
All grade conditions must be met or exceeded. Tariff point equivalences are not considered.
The Undergraduate Home Excellence Scholarship is only available to?students joining year 1 of an undergraduate programme
This scholarship cannot be deferred to a future year of entry. If you do choose to defer your offer, your application will be reassessed for any scholarships you might be eligible for in that year of entry
Ãå±±ÂÖ¼é reserves the right to withdraw this scholarship or bursary if award holders are subsequently found to be ineligible or if the terms and conditions of the scholarship are not adhered to.
