Sample schedule

Please see an example schedule to get a feel for what your visit will look like. We appreciate that you may have already visited Ãå±±ÂÖ¼é before. Therefore, optional campus tours will be available at the end of the day so that you can tailor your visit to suit your needs.

You will receive a finalised schedule a week prior to the event which includes detailed information relating to parking, registration location and your finalised schedule.

Please note, if you have a guest in attendance, they will follow a slightly different schedule after lunch.

10:15 – Registration and welcome to Engineering at Lancaster

10:50 – Student Life at Lancaster presentation

11:00 – Tours of Engineering Buildings 1 and 2

12:00 – Lunch

13:00 – Mock lab sessions and tutorial sessions

14:00 – Student Q&A panel

14:30 – 16:30 – Optional campus and accommodation tours

with an opportunity to chat to our admissions, accommodation and colleges team, representatives from our sports centre, students’ union and more.

Did You Know?

We want to make sure the School of Engineering and Ãå±±ÂÖ¼é are the right fit for you! Did you know that:

  • At Lancaster, your first year will be shared with all Engineering programmes to teach you the breadth of the subject and to highlight all aspects of engineering. This helps you to decide which area of engineering to specialise in.
  • We offer you the flexibility to change to the MEng programme at the end of Year 2 and to transfer on to transfer on to (or off) our Study Abroad or Placement Year programmes.

Our Offer Holder Events

If you aren’t able to attend on any of the dates on offer, or haven’t received your email to book your place, please do get in touch by email:?engineering@lancaster.ac.uk.

Offer Holder Events are an important step in working out whether Lancaster is right for you. You will have the chance to explore our facilities, chat to our current students and participate in mock lab sessions allowing you to get all your questions answered and imagine what it is to live a day in the life of an Engineering student at Lancaster! After booking you can expect to receive a detailed schedule of your visit and advice on where to register around a week prior to the event.

For our overseas applicants, we aim to replicate this experience as closely as possible, recognising that you may not be able to visit campus. If you are hoping to attend an event as an overseas applicant, please refer to the email you should have received from ugadmissions@lancaster.ac.uk.
